Marie studied acting and a received a BFA from Syracuse University.  After graduating, Marie trained with the Upright Citizens Brigade, and was recently accepted into the professional training program at The Groundlings. 


Marie Buck grew up in the north suburbs of Chicago.  After spending two years living in London with her family, Marie returned to Chicago and began her acting training at the Piven Theatre in Evanston, The Writers’ Theatre of Glencoe, and Apple Tree Theatre of Highland Park.  She was greatly influenced by the ensemble theatre community in Chicago, particularly by the Steppenwolf Theatre Company.


During her time at Syracuse she spent a semester abroad in London training at The Globe theatre, and appeared in several productions, including the understudy company of Syracuse Stage’s production of The Real Thing (Debbie) and the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra’s Romeo and Juliet (Juliet).   In 2007 she held a summer acting apprenticeship with the Williamstown Theatre Festival.


Marie is an original founding member of the NYC theatre company, Extra Pulp, and can currently be seen on the new web comedy series, Between Friends.
